One of the Society’s mission goals is “collecting, preserving, and publishing genealogical and historical records.” It fulfills this goal, in part, through its many publications.

Books

Since its inception, the Society has developed printed materials to assist the family history researcher. We currently have a large collection of titles to choose from.

CDs

In addition to many books, the Society has also begun to offer large amounts of data as computer CDs. These products provide a very affordable way to have large amounts of information on St. Louisans, or the history of St. Louis, available at your fingertips.

Clothing

For those who wish to do so, we now provide a number of clothing items with the handsome Society logo. A logo pin is also available.

Free Forms

As a service to our members and friends, we have developed many useful forms that you can use to track your research and to record your results. These forms are available here as Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF) files.

Maps and Photos

St. Louis Genealogical Society (StLGS) offers an increasing range of services and products related to maps and photos. It sells books and CDs and has map and photography services available to both members and the general public.

Research Service

The St. Louis Genealogical Society provides limited genealogical research in the St. Louis area. Research sources include: census indexes, death records, marriage records, obituaries from local newspapers, cemetery indexes, etc.

Trading Post

The Trading Post is the Society’s genealogical re-sell-it shop. This service provides a useful outlet for those who have genealogical materials at home that are no longer of value to them to recycle these materials and to make them available to others. Items in the Trading Post include published books, genealogical journals, and computer CD products. The inventory is constantly changing, so stop by frequently.
