MO Militia Company C
This Muster Roll is of Company C of the Eleventh Infantry, Missouri Militia, 16 July 1863 to 16 April 1864. Captain John D. Merten was the captain in charge of Company C and it was his family that recently discovered these papers in the back of a desk drawer. Prior to a recent family reunion the papers were sent to me, the family genealogist, instead of throwing them away. The originals have since been donated to the Missouri Historical Society Library.
Barb Larson transcribed and submitted this information for publication in the Spring 2005 St. Louis Genealogical Society Quarterly, volume 38, number 1, pages 8–10.
