These names have been taken from the book, Boys of the Best Families in the State—Company E 2nd Missouri Cavalry, published in 2003. Company E filled its ranks with soldiers from the Missouri State Guard and attracted men from St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Madison, Washington, Iron, and Jefferson counties.
