Fratellanza Society Burial Records

Italian immigrants started the Unione Fratellanza Italiano Society on 12 November 1866. The members wanted to help care for other members. One member was a doctor who provided free medical services. The society provided a burial lot at Calvary Cemetery for those who died. The burials were in society section 17, lots 20 and 22. This practice was discontinued about 1900; however, the last burial was in 1941.

The name of the deceased and the date of burial are provided in this index. Calvary Cemetery records are available on the St. Louis Genealogical Society Cemetery CD number one, available at CD Products, and up-to-date information is available on the St. Louis Catholic Cemeteries website.
