Pre-registration is strongly suggested. Classes may be cancelled if minimum numbers aren’t met.

Irish Research Techniques        Instructor: Kathy Wurth

Date:  8 June  2013      Day: Saturday          Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.          Sessions: 1

Class Info.: This session will cover and use some of the online research database sites for Irish Research

Class limit: 7–12 students      Cost: $20 for StLGS members; $30 for non-members

 

Beginning Genealogy          Instructor: Ilene Murray

Date: 22 June & 29 June 201     Day: Saturday        Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.      Sessions: 2

Class Info.: This four-hour, two-session class will provide an overview, which covers such things as how to get started, use basic records, cite sources, and discover what is in repositories and on the Internet.

Class size: 725 students Cost: free for StLGS members; $60 for non-members


Using FamilySearch.org     Instructor: Pat Stamm, CG, CGL

Dates: 13 & 20 July 2013        Day: Saturday          Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.          Sessions: 2

Class Info.: If you have been to the FamilySearch.org website recently, you have noticed that the entire site has undergone a drastic change. This four-hour, two sesssion class will cover the new resources available from this old favorite.

Class size: 7–20 students      Cost: $40 for StLGS members; $60 for non-members


Organizing Your Genealogy       Instructor: Ken Web

Dates: 3 August 2013         Day: Saturday             Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.          Sessions: 1

Class Info.: Are you working from piles and scraps of paper? Do you want to get better organized? If so, you will want to learn how to get a more structured system in place for your genealogy.

Class size: 7–25 students     Cost: $20 for StLGS members;  $30 for non-members
