Highway Maps to St. Louis Genealogical Society Office

For those of you who live in the central and eastern part of the St. Louis metropolitan area, life got a bit more complicated on Monday, 1 June 2009, when the bridge over the Highway 64/40 construction site on Big Bend Boulevard closed for rebuilding.

It is still possible to make your way to the StLGS office from the east and north by using alternate routes. McCausland Avenue, Big Bend Boulevard between Highway 64/40, Hanley Road south of the highway, and Brentwood Boulevard are all open.

If you are coming from the west, you can take Highway 64/40 to Brentwood Boulevard and then go south to Manchester Road. Go east (left) to Big Bend Boulevard. Make a right turn at the Shell station and continue south to the second traffic light, Sunnen Industrial Court. Drive around the roundabout to make a left into Sunnen Drive and we are #4, Suite 140.

If you are coming from the east, you will want to make your way to the western boundary of Forest Park, which is Skinker Boulevard. South of the highway construction, Skinker becomes McCausland Avenue and goes to Manchester Road. Make a right (west) on Manchester and continue to Big Bend Boulevard. Then follow the directions above to the office.

From the north, take I-170 to its southern end, staying in the right lane so you can exit at Eager Road. Make a left turn onto Eager and continue east. Eager turns into Hanley Road at the site of the bridge construction. Stay on Hanley and drive south to Manchester Road. Then make a left turn. Go east on Manchester until you reach Big Bend Boulevard and make a right turn. Follow the directions above to the office.
